Milwaukeeans keep a watchful eye on Miller Park, and recently we were right in the middle of the action. We replaced the bogie drives that were installed when the stadium was built. This was a unique job in which we planned a lift to raise ten 66-ton bogies into the bogie track, 175-feet in the air. From there, we raised 100-ton individual sections of the stadium roof approximately 7.5-inches, using hydraulic lifts. Without placing disproportionate weight on any of the roof bearings, we slid the existing bogies out and replaced them with new ones. This project required acute precision and attention to detail and safety.
