Price Erecting welcomes its newest team member, Mark Ruid, as the Vice President of Project Management and Estimation.
Price Erecting is proud to introduce our newest team member, Mark Ruid. Mark is joining the Price Erecting team as the Vice President of Project Management and as an Estimator. Mark has had an incredible amount of experience in the field and a deep understanding of project timelines, costs, and budgeting.
Mark’s insight will be instrumental in providing our customers time effective, budget-friendly services. His experience helps ensure each quote is thorough, safe and competitive. His acumen will prove paramount for growing our business, and customer base.
Mark is excited to join the Price team because Price Erecting has a long tradition of performing very complex tasks. He believes that Price Erecting is a place of integrity, and is excited to continue his career on our team.
“I’m honored to be instrumental in continuing to provide timely and cost effective services.”
Mark brings a strong vision of unity and teamwork to the team. “I believe it’s important to have a unified vision. From top officers to the first-year apprentices. A unified team is a safe and efficient team,” said Mark.
As a retired member of the United States Air Force, Mark understands the importance of collaboration and teamwork. Mark Ruid believes that the Armed Forces helps to instill some incredibly important skills that translate easily into the manufacturing and labor work.
“The Air Force’s Non Commissioned Officer Training helped me develop leadership skills,” said Mark. “You learn about the structure of rank, and the chain of command, and how to train other people so that no task is incomplete in your absence.
Interpersonal skills are key in the Air Force, and have taught Mark the importance of thorough communication. Mark cites the Four Steps of Communication – Sender, Message, Receiver, and Feedback – as his methodology as a leader. This means part of the process is always waiting for, or giving feedback, which will confirm that the receiver truly understands the meaning of the message. “Yelling is not an effective form of communication,” says Mark. “You need to know if your message was received and understood.”
Outside of work, Mark has supported the non-profit Outstretched Hands of Romania for over 15 years. It was started by his Pastor in his New Berlin church, who moved his family of 7 to Romania to help establish churches around the town of Calarasi. Mark has visited Romania two times to help build churches.
Mark also enjoys listening to live music, and bringing down the house will his unique karaoke styling.
