Price Erecting’s team was called to carefully rig the Frame House’s delicate cupola and safely rise it onto the roof, completing the facade of the seminal Waukesha home. Photo originally provided by fox6news.
The Frame family is one of the founding families of Waukesha. Andrew Frame was born in the Waukesha before the city was established, even before statehood was granted, back in 1844. Frame quickly became a prominent member of his community, eventually becoming the director of Waukesha National Bank and the founder of Frame Park, an area of land in Waukesha he worked diligently to protect.
Andrew Frame built his family home in 1879. The Waukesha landmark has been well preserved over the years, with one exception. The iconic 4th floor cupola sustained significant water damage sometime in the 1950s. It was removed to preserve the safety of the rest of the house. Frame’s great-great-granddaughter, Karen (Frame) McDonald, knew that it was time to bring that unique feature back to the Historically Preserved home.

Over two years ago, architects began to build the new cupola. Then it came to erecting the cupola back onto the 4th floor. The Frame family descendants trusted the team at Price Erecting to tackle this unique project because of our reputation for safe and quality erection work. Led by President Jason Young, the Price team spent several hours carefully rigging the cupola before rising it onto the roof. The cupola was safely installed and now completes the original facade of the seminal Waukesha home.
